F*ck - Around - Find - out -

FAFO stands for F*ck Around, Find Out - the name of our ethos and our mission - giving it a go, and seeing what happens, and having fun.

After two sold out scratch nights, eight banging plays, and a shedload of actors, writers, and creatives wanting to get involved, we realised:
we are onto something good here.

And so, F*ck Around, Find Out, the new writing night on everyone’s lips, has become FAFO Productions. (Don’t worry, we’ll still do new writing nights, duh).

We f*ck with new writing.

Big time. 

We’re here to bridge the gap between scratch nights and getting a play commissioned, and we showcase what’s hot, what’s smart, and what’s funny.

We’re all about debut plays, we love actor-writers, and we take our work very seriously - we just don’t take ourselves too seriously.

We don’t bite, unless asked nicely. 

Once upon a time in 2024, after a galvanizing, cathartic, ridiculous night dancing in a New York gay bar I realised: after 10 years in the theatre world in London, I’ve lost the fun. I’ve got to find it again. Simply: I’ve got to fuck around. And therein - F*ck Around, Find Out was born. 

Next thing I know, I’m begging everyone I know to send me a script, calling up my actor pals and chucking characters at them, pulling any favour we can to get rehearsal space, and it came together, culminating in one electric night.

Along with my amazing Producer, Spiky, we realised we’re onto something good, and decided to make it official: FAFO Productions. 

We’re about giving it a go: writers getting to throw paint on the walls and see what sticks, actors getting the chance to properly play, and me seeing just how much I can function on minimal sleep and dangerously high cortisol levels. 

Expect daring, audacious comedy, 10/10 acting, and all in all, a great night out. Wanna play?

FAFO #1 brought together four unreal plays in a pub theatre and honestly, anyone who writes anything is a winner in our eyes.

But life’s a game, and you’ve got to play.

Each year, the audience votes for the play they couldn’t get enough of, the one that stays with them after the night ends.

This year’s winner was the indomitable Jessica Enemokwu with The Racial Rehabilitation Programme.
