Meet the
writer
Tiwa Lade is a British Nigerian Actor and Writer. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Tiwa wrote two critically acclaimed plays, which had rehearsed readings in theatres across New York, Lagos and London. In 2019 she adapted her play RUSH into her first screenplay which was shortlisted for the Neal Street Productions Screenwriting Bursary (Top 10), BBC Writers Script Room 2021 (Top 2%), UKTV Commissioning Comedy 50:50 and won her the BBC Felix Dexter Award in 2021, as well as getting her onto the 2022 cohort for Channel 4 Screenwriting. Since then she has been in writers’ rooms for the BBC, ITVX and Sky TV - most recently writing and episode for Phoenix Rise Season 2 on the BBC.

Jessica is a British Nigerian actor and director. After completing a degree in Biochemistry, Jessica trained with the NYT Rep company.

OPRAH
Michaella is an American actress from Delaware, USA trained at East 15 Acting School. Recent credits include for stage The Color Purple (Bridewell Theatre), Prison Plaits (Tower Theatre), one drop cool (WP Theatre, NYC); Film/TV Bank of Dave 2: The Lone Ranger (Netflix), Too Much (Netflix).
